-Sleeping in. Aaron slept in today which means that I slept in today! I got up before he did and loved going in to his room as soon as I heard his sweet little voice. He was so happy to see me, jumped out of bed and ran to his door signing "eat."
-Eating breakfast with Aaron while he looked out the window and named all of the vehicles he saw: bus, truck, car, bike. He saw the bus drive by and said, "Bye bus, bye Daddy", since Jon rides the bus to school. I wonder if Aaron thinks Jon is on the bus all day long :).
-Playing with Aaron. I got out some of Aaron's toys that I had kept in his closet for a month or two. It was so fun to see his reaction to them since he thought they were so much cooler after an absence!
-Dancing with Aaron. We turned on Pandora and had a little dance party. It cracks me up how Aaron kicks his little feet, moves his shoulders and hips and spins around to the beat of the music. He also tries to sing along sometimes.
-I also loved today because I got a lot of laundry and the dishes done before lunch time!
-Watching Aaron color and play with stickers. I rolled out a big piece of butcher paper on the floor and gave Aaron markers, crayons and stickers. He had lots of fun and it is fun to see his blossoming creativity.
-Reading to Aaron and having him "read" along. When we read his favorite books like "Chugga-chugga choo-choo", "Goodnight Moon" and "Bubbles Bubbles" he makes comments, says words in the rhyme and signs the words he can't say yet. I love how interactive he is with books!
-Seeing Aaron's reaction to snow. We ran some errands this evening and it was snowing. Aaron was so excited about it! He kept putting his face up toward the sky and smiling so big and saying "rain." I explained that it is snow, but he has seen more rain than snow this winter and still called it rain. He even opened his mouth to try to catch some snow :). His reaction to little things makes the world seem so bright and wonderful!
-Listening to Aaron and Jon laugh during bath time tonight. Jon is so busy this semester that he doesn't get to see Aaron much. This evening he was able to give Aaron a bath and was making Aaron laugh so hard. I love seeing them interact and it made me so happy that they had some fun moments together today.
-Rocking Aaron to sleep. Aaron very rarely lets me rock him to sleep any more. He used to like to be rocked more, but ever since my belly started getting bigger he gets annoyed that he can't curl his legs up. Tonight he was so tired he just wanted me to rock him so he curled his little legs up on top of my pregnant belly. It looked so funny since his little bum was sticking in the air, but apparently it was comfortable enough for him because he soon fell fast asleep. I am always so grateful for moments like that because I love holding my sweet, peaceful, sleeping boy. He seems like the little baby he used to be again and I often wish I could freeze those moments so that I could revisit them whenever I want to.
