I was reading a talk given by Elder Neil L. Andersen, one of the current Twelve Apostles, during the October 2011 General Conference and I came across this quote which I love. He was quoting a young Christian mother who stated:
“Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for.”
I love that. Children are what Heavenly Father gave us time for! I love being a Mom and feel so blessed for the privilege of being able to raise my children in the gospel.
