It has been a while since I updated and I have so many thoughts I want to record. I just love being a Mom to Aaron more than I could ever have imagined. That is saying a lot since I have been imagining, dreaming about and planning for motherhood since I was a tiny girl. I literally go to bed every night with a smile on my face from remembering something Aaron did during the day. Some recent favorites...
-He recently started saying, "Yah", in response to pretty much everything and it is so funny! "Aaron, do you want do go outside, eat breakfast, take a bath, etc?" Response, "Yah!", accompanied by an affirmative head shake. Sometimes if it is an unusual question and he is slightly unsure he says, "Uhh, yah!"
-Aaron loves popsicles. They have been a lifesaver with teething and he randomly asks for "buttaballs." That is the closest transcription I can render so I will have ro record it on camera because the way he says it cracks me up every time. The other day he was taking a bath and then out of nowhere looked at me and asked, "A buttaball?" I said, "You want a popsicle?", surprised by the random timing. He said, "Yah!" and proceeded to climb out of the tub dripping wet to go get a popsicle.
-Aaron loves to make me laugh. He will make a funny sound or face or do something silly that makes me laugh. Then he starts laughing and repeats the thing that made me laugh and we go back and forth laughing. Yesterday evening before bed he was being so silly and I laughed so hard that my sides hurt.
-I don't know if I will ever get over that I have a child who ASKS for me to put him in his bed when he is tired. If he wants to take a nap or go to sleep he signs "bed" and often he will sign "bed please." Then when we put him in bed he is so happy he giggles. Yah, I'm lucky. The other day we were shopping for shoes for him. He was getting tired and started to throw a fit so I picked him up to leave. As we were walking out of the store he saw a crib display and tried to jump out of my arms and into the bed signing "bed please, bed please."
-Aaron is such a communicator. He babbles all the time and also says a lot of words for a toddler his age. The other day in my language development I couldn't help making a list of all of his words and signs. He says about 30 words and sings about 30 with 10-15 being words he signs AND says so his vocabulary is around 50. He tries out new words every day but seems to wait until he is really sure about a word to include it in his usual repetiore.
BABY #2 UPDATE:
As for baby #2 everything seems fine and being on Zofran for nausea has helped a TON! I still feel really sick some days but at least I am not throwing up which really helps. Some days are better than others and I am definitely still in the first trimester exhaustion, nausea phase. However, I have decided that it is a little easier going through this the second time because I have tangible proof (ie. Aaron) that it is all worth it! One thing that has been particularly hard for me already is the fact that I am showing soooo soon. I know it's because my first pregnancy destroyed my abs and I didn't exactly rebuild them like I should have. It's also partly because I had a little more "padding" around the middle then I did with Aaron. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I feel like I am as showing as much as I was with Aaron at like 17-18 weeks and I am only 9-10 weeks along. Yikes! My clothes still fit but I can tell I will be in maternity clothes MUCH sooner than I was with Aaron. Oh well :)

Welcome to the second time mommy club! I felt like I started showing at like 6 weeks.... The good news is I'm not too much bigger at 19 weeks than I was with Ethan. I just got big sooner and then...leveled out? Aaron sure is a cutie too!
Aaron sounds like such a crack up! Isn't it amazing how much they learn every single day at this age? I'm still blown away with how much Emma knows and can verbalize. I'm so glad you're feeling better! I seem to be faring worse lately, which I'm not too fond of. :) But you're totally right--it's worth it!
